Adding to the fun quotient at a bowling alley

A playful design adds panache to the Blu O menu

Blu O, the bowling alley, gaming arcade and lounge and bar, has a distinct brand identity that combines class with fun and cheer. To carry forward this aspect of the branding into the place’s menu card, we first separated the menu into drinks, lunch and dinner menus. The 12-page drinks menu, die cut into the shape of a wine glass that could stand on its own, was executed in a deep exciting purple and black.

The lunch menu, using the brightest brand colours, opened like a fan, with each page featuring a different section of the menu. Finally the dinner menu was a fold out card shaped partly like the brand’s distinctive O with interesting graphics. Considering that Blu O is a favourite hangout for young people, the menu manged to bring together the right amount of fun and excitement with great design.
