Giving nearbuy.com a name and a face to call its own
Groupon India Private Limited’s nearbuy.com is a hyper-local online platform that enables customers and local merchants to find each other. While customers get to discover, purchase and share exciting experiences in their neighbourhood, wherever they happen to be, merchants get a strong visibility on the site.
Our job was to build a strong identity for nearbuy.com so that it could become a recognisable brand in the digital space. The identity proposed was that of a butterfly since a butterfly goes from flower to flower to get the nectar, an analogy for sweet deals. The butterfly was designed using the omnipresent Google pins to connote location. A subtler shade of red was chosen for the logo as the platform, while in the business of deals, also wanted to connote selectivity.
